Perfect for either an enrolled cosmetology student looking to start their career, a seasoned hair stylist looking to get back into the beauty field, or even a stylist looking to step back from behind the chair yet stay in the salon environment with the benefits of a stable paycheck.
Responsibilities & duties include but not limited to answering phones, scheduling appointments, shampooing hair, assisting stylists, blow drying, possibly mixing color and applying toners, unpacking orders, laundry and general cleaning, attending educational classes, while being offered the opportunity to grow a clientele.
There is a part time or full time position open. We offer 2 locations (Brielle & Spring Lake) situated in the heart of the beautiful Jersey Shore.
Qualifications:
*must have NJ cosmetology license, permit or currently enrolled in cosmetology school
- Willingness to learn and assist with a wide variety of salon tasks
- Customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of hair styling and cosmetology
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Interest to grow in the beauty industry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
