About the Role:
Join Salon D/Art as a Part-Time Art Handler in Hercules, CA, where you will play a crucial role in the handling and installation of exquisite artworks. Be part of our expanding team where we specialize in high-quality art installations and framing coordination for residential, commercial, and hospitality clients.
Responsibilities:
- Carefully handle and pack artworks, to ensure their safety and integrity.during shipping and/or transport between Berkeley, Hercules, Fremont & Sonoma.
- Assist in the installation and deinstallation of art exhibits in various settings.
- Maintain and upkeep storage unit
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of artworks and display areas.
- Follow all safety protocols and best practices for art handling.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to logistics and scheduling.
- Collaborate with team members and adapt to a flexible scheduled based on sales and availability
Requirements:
- Previous 1 year experience in art handling, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for art and culture.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various physical conditions.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for transporting multiple framed artworks (SUV, van or hatchback required)
- Flexible availability (T, W, R) with an occasional Sat (1:30 pm - 10:00pm)
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to outstanding service.
