What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hair Salon Assistant/Receptionist position at Salon 13?
Salon 13 is seeking a part-time Receptionist/Assistant as we expand our Beauty Squad.
Our ideal candidate should be friendly, professional and attentive to the needs of our clients. Cosmetology background or salon experience is preferred, however, we are open to training someone that is a good fit for our needs, dependable and willing to learn!
***Please note that this is a long term position, not seasonal.
***Must be available 1-2 Saturdays a month and a mix of daytime/evening hours.
Additional hours if coverage is needed when other employees have time off.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Welcoming customers with a smile and friendly attitude
- Answering phones and booking appointments for stylists
- Let stylist know when the client has arrived
- Process payments for clients after their appointment
- Reschedule clients upon checkout
- Shampoo clients, as needed
- Maintain cash drawer
- Assist with social media management
- Experience with excel, word, publisher, canva
- Keep reception area and retail shelves clean and organized
* Must have good communication skills
