About the Role:
As a Glowmate Event Ambassador, you are the face of the Salmalita experience at markets, pop-ups, and events across Chicago.
This is a high-energy, customer-facing role where you will actively engage with customers, perform shade matching across a wide range of skin tones, and guide people toward the right product for their skin.
You will combine product knowledge with genuine connection, helping customers feel seen, understood, and confident in their skin while driving sales and contributing to team goals.
This role is ideal for someone who is both people-oriented and performance-driven, and who thrives in a fast-paced, interactive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively approach and engage customers, inviting them into the booth
- Perform quick, accurate shade matching across a diverse range of skin tones
- Demonstrate the product and clearly communicate key benefits and differentiators
- Guide customers through the buying decision and confidently close sales
- Contribute to team sales goals and maintain strong energy throughout the event
- Assist with booth setup and teardown, including organizing product and displays
- Keep the booth clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable approaching and talking to new people
- Experience in retail, sales, or customer-facing roles preferred
- Interest in beauty, skincare, or makeup
- High energy, reliable, and proactive
Bonus:
- Experience shade matching or selling complexion products
- Background as a makeup artist, esthetician, or beauty advisor
Compensation:
- $20/hour
- Commission of $4–$6 per unit sold (tiered based on performance)
- Team bonuses for hitting sales goals
- Product and training provided
Schedule:
- Part-time, primarily weekends
- Typical shifts are 5–7 hours
- Flexible based on availability
