Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team and provide excellent eye care services to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology, patient care, and medical coding.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and eye health
- Diagnose and treat visual problems, such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
- Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
- Detect and manage eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy
- Perform minor surgical procedures related to the eyes
- Educate patients on proper eye care techniques
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic
Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry
- State licensure to practice optometry
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to the eyes
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing practices
- Experience with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during eye exams
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
- Sales skills to recommend and sell eyewear products effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with medical records systems
- Familiarity with Epic EHR system

Pay: $140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
