JOB PURPOSE:
The Digital Outreach Coordinator is an hourly, part-time position (8–10 hours per week; minimum 50% on-site) responsible for expanding Salisbury Christian School's digital presence and community engagement. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, this role creates compelling, on-brand content across all SCS social media platforms — using photography, video, graphics, and written storytelling to highlight the school's mission, culture, and community in ways that attract new families and deepen connections with existing ones.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Embrace and reflect the mission, vision, and core beliefs of Salisbury Christian School in all content and communications;
- Develop, maintain, and execute a consistent social media content calendar across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and any emerging platforms relevant to SCS’s audience;
- Create original, high-quality content including short-form video, photography, graphics, and written copy that showcases SCS campus life, student achievements, events, and school culture;
- Grow SCS social media followership and engagement by implementing best practices in platform algorithms, hashtag strategy, posting frequency, and audience interaction;
- Monitor, respond to, and engage with comments, messages, and community interactions across all SCS digital platforms in a timely and professional manner;
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Marketing to ensure all content aligns with SCS branding guidelines, messaging priorities, and enrollment goals;
- Track and analyze key online performance metrics (reach, engagement, follower growth, click-throughs);
- Coordinate with faculty, staff, and administrators to gather story ideas, event coverage opportunities, and content submissions;
- Capture on-site photos and video footage at school events, activities, and daily campus moments to maintain a robust content library;
- Assist in the creation and scheduling of paid digital advertising campaigns, as directed by the Director of Marketing;
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices in digital marketing for educational institutions, and bring proactive recommendations to the Director of Marketing;
- Ensure all content complies with student privacy requirements, including FERPA guidelines and SCS media release policies;
- Exhibit follow-through on all projects initiated and assigned;
- Demonstrate the ability to cultivate relationships with staff, students, and families;
- Assist with enlarging the vision and mission of Salisbury Christian School;
- Motivate students to accept God’s gift of salvation and help them grow in their faith through their witness and Christian role modeling;
- Lead students to a realization of their self-worth in Christ and assist them in making positive life choices;
- Keep the Administration adequately informed of any known serious issues that may impact the school;
- Recognize the need for good public relations and represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school’s constituency and the general public;
- Develop and maintain rapport with students, parents, and staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration;
- Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with conflict with students, parents, staff, and Administration;
- Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Supervise extracurricular activities, organizations, and outings as assigned;
- Utilize educational opportunities and evaluation processes for professional growth;
- Provide input and constructive recommendations for administrative and managerial functions in the school;
- Support the broader program of the school by attending extracurricular activities when possible;
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Administration.

- Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living;
- Be in whole-hearted agreement with Salisbury Christian School’s Foundational documents;
- Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others including a commitment to God’s Biblical standards for sexual conduct (Luke 6:40);
- Be a member in good standing at an evangelical church that has a Statement of Faith in agreement with the SCS Statement of Faith;
- Show by example the importance of Scripture study and memorization, prayer, witnessing, and unity in the Body of Christ;
- Have the Spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to “train up a child in the way he should go.”

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Demonstrated experience creating content on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube;
- 1–3 years of experience managing social media accounts for an organization, school, nonprofit, or business preferred;
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and video editing strongly preferred;
- Experience in an educational or faith-based environment a plus.
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma;
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
