Under the supervision of the Director of the Department of Senior
Services, responsible for all cleaning and maintenance within the Senior
Center building. Coordinates maintenance and assigns daily duties to the
Maintenance Assistant. Performs maintenance of the facility to include
weather stripping maintenance, moving furniture, light bulb
replacements, minor plumbing, changing of air filters, painting and
other duties as assigned. Cleans the restrooms and building daily and
deep cleans projects on a scheduled basis. Daily cleaning duties
includes dusting, windows, emptying trash, sweeping, and mopping. Weekly
cleaning duties includes the break room and meeting rooms. Replenishes
supplies to include paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Performs light
maintenance on equipment to include, mowers, edgers, etc. Will
coordinate service with outside vendors as needed. Maintains the lawn
and parking lot to include picking up trash on the facility grounds
daily. Mows, edges, and provides weed control on grounds and parking
lot. Provides snow removal and ice control on sidewalks as needed.
Responsible for setting up and tearing down meeting rooms as scheduled
to include tables, chairs, and any other needs such as refreshments or
other needs as requested. Maintains an inventory of cleaning, bathroom,
and lawn supplies. Submits orders to the Director monthly. Submits a
monthly building log to include repairs and maintenance completed to
include filters, drain maintenance, monthly emergency light checks and
fire extinguisher checks. Cross-trains and covers for other staff in
their absence for an efficient operation of the facility and continued
services to seniors to include the dining room. May coordinate work of
volunteer and other individuals as needed.

##### **Minimum Qualifications:**
1\. Must have a High School diploma or the equivalent or any combination
of education and experience as approved by the Director.\

- Knowledge of grounds and building/general maintenance, general

- Must be able to work with the public in a congenial manner.\
- Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written and
