Marketing Assistant (Temporary Part-Time)

Please note this is a part-time position that is estimated to last through May 2026, with the possibility of an extension. 

Hiring Range = $17.50 - 18.95\hour

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt 

Marketing Assistant General Description

The Marketing Assistant is responsible for providing support with the day-to-day marketing, social media, and other various marketing needs of the SFHC marketing department.

Marketing Assistant Essential Duties

1. Provide positive first impression, through words and tone, to patients, visitors, employees, donors, and community partners. 
2. Assist the Marketing and Engagement Coordinator with planning and creating content for digital and print media to support and expand the organization's mission and branding. 
3. Provide consistent representation of the organization at business and community meetings and events, as assigned. 
4. Assist with capital campaign activities as assigned, which may include, but is not limited to the following:
   1. Schedule and make arrangements for meetings with steering committee members, prospective and current donors (e-mails, phone calls, etc.)
   2. Coordinates and attends tours, meetings, or events, as assigned;
   3. Sends thank you notes, follow-up materials and completes any promised follow-up actions;
   4. Assist in the development and execution of a communications plan for the campaign;
   5. Helps to plan and execute fundraising events;
   6. Assist with direct mail advertising including design, coordination, and mailing list management for fundraising efforts;
   7. Maintain confidentiality of all campaign and foundation information, records, and files. 
5. Assist with creating engaging monthly and quarterly newsletters to a variety of audiences, including donors and community partners. 
6. Produce patient education materials, as assigned. 
7. Provide photography, videography, and written coverage of special events, as assigned.
8. Provide excellent customer service via social media and route questions or concerns to the right department or person. 
9. Complete all job functions by observing confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. 
10. Comply with organization's policies and procedures. 
11. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Marketing Assistant Skills Required

1. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients, vendors, and the public. 
2. Strong knowledge of social media platforms and analytic tools such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. 
3. Knowledge and experience with various desktop publishing software and Microsoft 365 products. 
4. High level of creativity; 
5. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
6. Ability to work independently and use good judgement and have initiative to seek out other duties. 
7. Demonstrates equal dignity and respect for others, and values character, effort, and ability in the workplace. 
   

Marketing Assistant Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or equivalent; 
2. A degree or certification in marketing, graphic design, communication or a related field, or a current pursuit of a related degree, is preferred but not required;
3. 2 years of experience in marketing, fundraising, event marketing, or business office is preferred; 
4. Prior experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred but not required;
5. Prior experience in healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
