Internal Medicine Clinic – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA)

Location: HRRMC Outpatient Pavilion, Salida, Colorado
Schedule: Full Time 32 hours per week

Position Summary

HRRMC is seeking a compassionate, team-minded Nurse Practitioner (FNP/ANP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our Internal Medicine clinic. This role is primarily adult outpatient primary care with a focus on chronic disease care, preventive services, and timely access for acute needs. We welcome both experienced APPs and well-prepared new graduates who are eager to grow in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Education: MSN/NP (FNP or Adult/Gero) or graduate of an accredited PA program

• 
  

  Licensure/Certifications: Eligible for Colorado licensure; national certification (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA); prescriptive authority/DEA (or eligibility);

• BLS required (ACLS preferred)

• 
  

  Experience: Internal Medicine/Primary Care experience preferred; new grads with strong adult health training are encouraged to apply.

  Skills: Excellent clinical reasoning, team communication, and patient education; comfort balancing independence with collaboration

What You’ll Do :

• Provide comprehensive adult primary care: histories/physicals, chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, HTN, COPD, CKD), preventive care, and acute visits

• Coordinate transitions of care (hospital/ED follow-ups)

• Perform common clinic procedures within scope and training (e.g., joint injections, simple dermatologic procedures, EKG interpretation)

• Document accurately and close charts in a timely manner; practice evidence-based medicine and patient-centered communication

• Participate in clinic quality/process-improvement efforts and team meetings
