Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations and assess overall ocular health

  • Co-manage surgical cases including cataract, LASIK, and other procedures
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and provide patient education on vision care
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)
  • Travel to affiliated nearby clinics as needed

Qualifications

  • Holds a Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
  • Licensed or license-eligible to practice optometry in the state of Illinois
  • Demonstrates strong clinical judgment and diagnostic proficiency across a range of eye conditions
  • Delivers care with a patient-first mindset, supported by excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and dependable, with a willingness to travel between affiliated local partner sites as needed

Preferred Experience

  • Background in surgical co-management
  • Familiarity with EHR platforms
