🔧 Equipment Design (70%)
- Customize and enhance existing machinery to meet client specifications
- Design new equipment using advanced 3D CAD tools (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
- Integrate robotics, motion systems, and automation technologies
- Partner with project managers and clients to optimize system layouts and workflows
- Collaborate with controls engineers for seamless system integration
- Create detailed 2D drawings and assembly documentation
- Source components and coordinate with vendors
- Support production teams to meet timelines and quality standards
- Assist in machine testing, troubleshooting, and validation
- Contribute to technical documentation and machine manuals
- Support equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting and implementation
- Provide technical expertise to support sales and customer success
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- 3 years of experience in machinery or equipment design
- Strong experience with 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor highly preferred)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD (2D)
- Familiarity with:
- Pneumatics & hydraulics
- AC/DC powertrain systems
- Servo-driven motion systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and on teams
