Senior Retail Sales Associate

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a well-organized store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, sales expertise, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced retail setting. Bilingual abilities and prior supervisory experience are highly valued to enhance team performance and customer engagement.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs to ensure a positive experience
• Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits
• Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities
• Manage merchandising displays, including stocking shelves and organizing promotional materials
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization through regular stocking and cleaning routines
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting remote customers
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members, ensuring adherence to store policies and excellent customer service standards
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts

Experience

• Proven retail sales experience, preferably in grocery or specialty stores
• Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations
• Prior supervising or team leadership experience in a retail environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; bilingual abilities are a plus
• Experience with product demos, upselling techniques, merchandising, and stock management
• Familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous
• Ability to handle basic math accurately for transactions and inventory purposes
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach
