Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly attentive Security Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, controlling access points, conducting patrols, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will help safeguard our clients’ assets, personnel, and property.
Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas using CCTV surveillance systems and physical security checks to deter unauthorized access or activity.
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and permit entry for authorized personnel while denying access to unauthorized individuals.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents by implementing emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activities, security breaches, or accidents for record-keeping and further investigation.
- Perform background checks on potential employees or visitors as part of compliance with security regulations.
- Utilize law enforcement techniques when necessary to handle conflicts, manage disputes, or de-escalate tense situations effectively.
- Operate security equipment such as Tasers, firearms (where permitted), CCTV cameras, and access control systems with professionalism and adherence to safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in physical security or law enforcement roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems.
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety procedures.
- Familiarity with incident report writing and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when required for patrols or equipment movement.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally.
- Experience working in environments requiring compliance with strict security regulations is preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
