Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems and perform regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity
- Control access points using advanced access control systems to verify authorized personnel and visitors
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or security breaches, following established protocols
- Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting any security concerns or occurrences
- Conduct background checks on potential employees or visitors as required by company policies
- Perform physical security duties such as heavy lifting, manual handling, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management strategies to maintain a secure environment
Skills
- Proficiency in surveillance technologies including CCTV and access control systems
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and emergency response protocols
- Experience with performing background checks and conducting security screenings
- Ability to operate fire safety equipment such as AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), CPR devices, Taser, and firearms where applicable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Skilled in incident report writing with attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical fitness for tasks involving heavy lifting, patrolling, and manual handling
- Familiarity with security regulations, fire safety standards, and compliance requirements
