A Meaningful Opportunity for an Experienced Plaintiff’s Attorney

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney to join our team in Woodbury, Long Island.

This is an opportunity for an attorney who wants to do more than manage a caseload. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take meaningful responsibility for sophisticated personal injury matters, work directly with experienced attorneys and experts, develop case strategy, interact with clients, take depositions, and participate in trials.

The Opportunity

You will become an integral member of a legal team handling personal injury and medical malpractice matters from case evaluation through resolution and trial. With the support of experienced partners and competent support staff, you will have the opportunity to develop your litigation skills and assume increasing responsibility for your cases.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating potential personal injury cases with Partners and experts and developing effective case theories and strategies.
• Managing and advancing cases efficiently while working to maximize their value.
• Taking and defending depositions of plaintiffs, defendants’ non-party witnesses, and other third parties.
• Drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, discovery responses, expert exchanges, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
• Preparing for and participation in trials.
• Working directly with clients and providing a high level of personal attention and service.
• Collaborating with Partners, attorneys, experts, and support staff to move cases forward effectively.
• Developing professional relationships and a personal reputation within the legal community, including opportunities to expand referral relationships.
• Taking on increasing responsibility as your experience and capabilities develop.

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is an optimistic, self-motivated attorney who takes ownership of their work and thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment.

Candidates should have:

• 2-4 years of experience practicing personal injury law.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and litigation skills.
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
• A genuine commitment to client service.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking individual responsibility for assigned matters.
• A desire to continue developing as a trial attorney and to take on significant responsibility.

Admission to the New York federal courts is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $125,000 per year, commensurate with experience
