The Salem Witch Museum is now hiring staff for the Halloween Season

JOB OPPORTUNITY:

Are you a people person? Do you like history? Halloween? The Salem Witch Museum is looking for full-time and part-time employees interested in working in a fast-paced environment during the busy Halloween season (August through mid- November) who are able to be flexible and work evenings, weekends, and holidays. In October our hours vary on a daily basis. Evenings shifts are available on Friday, Saturday and Sundays. We do not have evenings shifts Monday - Thursday, and are looking for staff who can be flexible working day shifts when we close at 5 pm and working evening shifts when we close at 10 pm.

Qualified candidates should possess exceptional customer service skills, be able to stand for long periods of time, have great communication, time management and computer skills and be interested in the history of the 1692 witch trials. Applicant should live in or nearby the Salem area. Previous retail sales experience a must. Some of the many duties of the day include but are not limited to: ticket and gift shop sales, crowd control, greeting visitors and providing information on the museum and Salem. Additional duties include pricing merchandise, carrying boxes of up to 30 pounds, stocking shelves, brochure racks and the museum store, cleaning the museum: vacuuming, sweeping, bathrooms and all high touch surfaces.
