Team Lead Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist
Seeking (1 ) experienced Veterinary Receptionist for an established Veterinary practice in Virginia Beach, VA. One (1) year or more experience in the veterinary field is required. Qualified Veterinary Education Participants may be considered.
Occasionally to frequently shifts will extend until 8:00 p.m. at night. Hours will also likely include some occasional weekend and holiday kennel shifts.
Successful candidates will have a willingness to learn, strong technical skills, be reliable, and work well in a team environment. This is a physical job that can require proper animal handling skills and the lifting of animals, some over 50 pounds.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Hospital and kennel maintenance
- Client education
- Maintaining flow of appointments
- Client outreach
- Client sales
- Processing payments
- Managing client information
- Cleaning and organization tasks
- Handling and restraining of animals during examinations and surgeries
- Surgical preparation and assistance
- Anesthetic monitoring
- Radiology
- Cytology and laboratory procedures
- Sample collection and processing
- Nursing care
- Injections and surgical after care
Pay: $15.00 - $18.75 per hour
