The Emergency Department Charge Registered Nurse provides clinical leadership, operational oversight, and daily coordination of Emergency Department activities.
Duties
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing monitoring compliance with hospital and departmental policies, supporting regulatory and state requirements, and promoting safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
- Serves as a clinical resource for nursing staff and works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, ancillary departments, nursing leadership, and other members of the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current registration with the Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
- Prefer BSN or higher, previous charge nurse, clinical coordinator, or leadership experience.
- Current CPR, ACLS, PALS – TNCC or ENPC certification within one year.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Coverage for shift deficiencies as needed.
Starting Hourly Pay Range
- $30.75/hr – $44.59/hr
- Actual hourly pay rate depends on experience (DOE).
