What You’ll Do
You design your ideal role here. Whether you prefer surgery-only, medical-only, or a mix, we’ll build your responsibilities around what you enjoy and how you like to practice.
- Perform spay/neuter surgeries (cats and small dogs) at a comfortable pace
- Diagnose and treat common medical conditions
- Conduct sick visits and basic urgent care
- Perform small procedures (wound repair, mass removals, etc.)
- Perform enucleations and other necessary procedures
- Perform dental cleanings and extractions (if comfortable)
- Work alongside trained assistants and supportive volunteer veterinarians

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- Active North Carolina veterinary license
- Professional Liability Insurance

Compensation
- Flexible and individualized—volunteer, stipend-based, or paid options available
