Position Overview: We seek a detail-oriented and results-driven Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This is a full- time, onsite position. The individual will primarily oversee the month-end close process and drive financial reporting accuracy, integrity, and insights to support our expanding multi-unit restaurant business. Reporting directly to the Head of Accounting & Finance, the Senior Accountant will mentor and develop junior accounting staff. This is an ideal role for a seasoned accounting professional with deep knowledge of accounting, financial reporting ,systems of internal controls and a passion for continuous improvement in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

- Manage day-to-day accounting processes including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flows) and supporting schedules.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary records and ensure accurate recording of journal entries.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support financial decision-making.
- Lead usage and optimization of QuickBooks Online, Margin Edge, and Heartland OPS Systems to ensure seamless financial data flow across platforms.
- Ensure proper documentation and integration of financial transactions across platforms.
- Recommend enhancements to system workflows, controls, and reporting outputs.
- Supervise and support the accounting team; delegate tasks, provide training, and ensure accountability.
- Serve as a key liaison between Accounting, Stores, HR, and External Auditors.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning activities.
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and resolving inquiries.
- Develop, implement, and update accounting policies, SOPs, and process improvements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Required).
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (Nice to have).
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or retail environments.
- Proven success in managing full-cycle accounting processes and financial reporting.
- Experience leading accounting staff or teams.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Hands-on experience with Margin Edge, Heartland OPS Systems, preferred.
- Understanding of payroll platforms and point-of-sale data integrations.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
