Salem Residential Care is looking for a Certified Level One Medication Aifr.
**Willing to train if not already certified**
Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to residents while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Monitor and document residents' vital signs and overall health status.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and record keeping.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of medication storage areas.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with caregiving practices for seniors, including hospice and memory care.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems (EMR/EHR) for patient care documentation.
