Hours per day: 2 hours/day, 5 days a week
Salary/Compensation: $28.81/hr (Stipend)
Job Description:
Scratch Cook (Stipend)
1. Analyze the current set of recipes (what are our current or NEW recipes that are delicious, cheaper, and responsive to students). Consult with the FNS director.
- Taking our most popular menu items and making a vegetarian equivalent.
- Taking our most popular menu items that come in frozen / pre prepared & if we can make it from scratch instead.
- Taking student suggested menu items that do not appear on the menu & creating a scratch recipe to make the suggestion come alive.
- Taking sauces, sides & dressings and creating a scratch recipe for it.
2. Taste test the recipe at one school a month: rotate throughout the schools to taste test. The school that is doing the scratch cook recipe taste test will replace the Harvest of the Month recipe taste test.
3. Train with the team at the next PD for how to make the recipe.
4. Coach the staff during the recipe debut.
