Overview
Salem Media Group is looking for a Production Assistant.
This is a multi-purpose position that will leverage your current radio and digital skills to grow our impact and productivity. You will learn all aspects of our local Orlando, and national programming, operations. The ideal candidate will be a skilled, passionate radio broadcaster who wants to be a healthy and positive addition to our team culture. They will be flexible, competent, listener driven and creative. This person will step in to fill voids as needed as well as serve in regular responsibilities such as daily production, including podcast support, occasional network show production, automation work, voicework, live remote broadcasts and other creative and fun duties as needed. Our current demographics on both our Christian teaching and talk, and new stalk formats, is adults 35 . There can also be opportunities to open your creative side, and your knowledge of Photoshop, to create event and promotion collateral for the many events we do. Past experience as a local show producer and/or audio production a plus.
Responsibilities
- On-Air production...afternoon and evening hours.
- Creative content development for core demographic.
- Possible creation of special event collateral for on-site and online use.
- Perform other duties as needed by program director and production director.
- Appear at station events/remotes as a representative of the station as needed.
- Load and/or edit syndication content as needed.
- Ideal candidate will have 1 year production and/or on-air experience.
Qualifications
- Proficient in digital audio editing and production software packages including Adobe audition and Wide Orbit.
- Some knowledge of video production, and photoshop.
- Excellent communications skills (both written and verbal).
- A positive and energetic style, with high integrity, strong work ethic, and ownership of outcomes.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Acute attention to deadlines and completion of time-sensitive work.
- Flexibility - schedule will include weekdays, weeknights and possible weekends.
