Unified Basketball Support Staff - Salem Public Schools, Salem, MA [SY 2026-2027]
Responsibilities:
- Safety of athletes, writing and supervising workouts for various events, presence at all games and fundraising.
- Collaborating with school-based staff and Head Coach to modify and adapt exercises in accordance with student needs.
- Previous coaching/playing experience required. Responsible for practice planning, game management, and fundraising.
- Collaborating with school-based staff to modify and adapt exercises in accordance with student needs.
- The coach will also work closely with the AD to ensure all school policies/procedures are being followed as it relates to the athletic programs.
Preferred:
- Candidate should have previous experience with basketball
- Experience working with youth athletics
- Ability to meet the expectations and standards of practices as guided by the MIAA
- Demonstrates a high degree of energy and a genuine interest in students and their success
- Experience working with students & families of diverse ethnic backgrounds
