Location: Salem Health Hospital, Main Campus, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, OR 97301
Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation
Position Type: Part Time, 30 hours/weekly, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 8:00 am – 6:30 pm, Three 10-hour shifts, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Your role with us
As a lymphedema physical therapist, you’ll play a key role in patient care by using evidence-based treatments to help individuals with a variety of cancer-related and orthopedic conditions, in a hospital-based outpatient clinic setting. You’ll be part of a team that collaborates to create personalized therapy plans aimed at improving overall functional ability.
What you'll do
- Provide thorough, evidence‑based evaluations and create individualized treatment plans tailored to outpatient functional goals.
- Deliver goal‑oriented interventions focused on neuromuscular rehabilitation, upper extremity function, cognitive and perceptual retraining.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary group of providers—including PT, Speech, physicians, and care coordinators—to support comprehensive, coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on home programs, strategies, and resources to promote long‑term success and self‑management.
- Document clearly and communicate professionally to support smooth patient flow, team collaboration, and high‑quality outcomes.
Required qualifications
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Holds a valid physical therapy license to practice in the state of Oregon or is license eligible.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
Additional information
- Lymphedema treatment experience preferred. Case load will be a mix of musculoskeletal and lymphedema diagnoses.
- Successful candidate will have clinical experience in the practice setting.
