About Salem Glass Company

Founded in 1929, Salem Glass Company is one of New England’s premier glazing contractors, specializing in curtainwall, storefront, window, entrance, panel, skylight, monumental metal, and interior glazing systems for commercial construction. We are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and finance functions while serving as a key member of our leadership team. This leadership position reports directly to the Executive Vice President and offers significant responsibility across accounting, finance, HR, and information technology.

Position Summary

The Corporate Controller is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, payroll oversight, job cost accounting, annual audits, and compliance. The position also oversees the outsourced IT provider and the internal HR function while partnering closely with executive leadership, project management, operations, and sales.

Salem Glass has developed the SGC Assistant, a proprietary operations platform that integrates directly with our Trimble Spectrum construction accounting system. Unlike traditional construction accounting environments that rely heavily on disconnected software and spreadsheets, the SGC Assistant centralizes operational and financial information, automates routine processes, and provides real-time visibility into company performance—allowing the Corporate Controller to focus on analysis, planning, and continuous improvement rather than administrative tasks.

This position plays a key role in providing accurate, timely financial insight that supports executive decision-making and the continued growth of Salem Glass Company.

  • Assist executive management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Coordinate the annual audit and ensure compliance with GAAP

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
