PT Campus Operations Worker

Role: 

Provides on-site facility and event support, including event setup and breakdown, campus building clean-up, and general maintenance assistance. Delivers responsive customer service to campus departments and supports daily operational needs under the direction of Campus Operations supervisors. 

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Performs set-ups and breakdowns for various meetings and events. 
• Keeps buildings and grounds in clean and orderly condition. 
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs or vacuums classrooms, restrooms, corridors, lobbies, offices, administrative areas, labs, special use areas in accordance with established procedures, as needed.  
• Keeps buildings and grounds in good repair, performing routine/minor painting, and other related facilities maintenance activities using hand and power tools.  
• Notifies management regarding need for major repairs and/or additions to building systems. 
• Cleans snow and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, and building entries. 
• Transports supplies, equipment, materials, trash, etc. 
• Moves and delivers supplies, equipment, and materials around campus using hand trucks, carts and dollies. 
• Assists with Campus Operations Inventory Management 
• Conducts business in a courteous and professional manner. 
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance wearing College-supplied attire. 
• Performs all other applicable duties as assigned. 

Knowledge and Skills: 

Experience                         Prior experience with event setup, facilities, maintenance, or customer service preferred but not required. 

Education                           High School diploma or equivalent. 

Interpersonal Skills             Ability to work effectively with faculty, administrators, staff and external constituencies. 

Other Skills                         Ability to work with minimal supervision. 

Physical Requirements      The work requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent                                                bending or stooping, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Occasionally lifting of heavy objects (over 50lb). Job requires                                                    average agility and dexterity. 

Work Environment              Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office. Exposure to outside weather conditions is to be                                                expected. Occasional exposure to objectionable conditions is expected. Ability to work flexible schedule.
