Our internal medicine team makes up about 25% of our large physician-owned multi-specialty medical clinic. At our centrally-located "Main Clinic", we have eight IM physicians. We also have a large family medicine department, general surgery department, urgent care and a robust OB/GYN department.
We use the EPIC for our EMR, Nuance/Dragon for dictation and DAX CoPilot AI for note building. We have a long history in our community (100 years and counting) and have always been on the cutting-edge for adopting new technology and processes.
Our onsite laboratory is a CLIA-licensed high complexity laboratory. We use Siemens for our major chemistry instrumentation and perform more than 80% of our testing in-house with impressive turnaround times. Our lab team also performs EKGs and places Holter monitors. Our medical laboratory scientists are only a phone call or short walk away to help with order selection or to deliver critical values.
Our onsite imaging includes: general x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, bone densitometry and more. Radiologists are onsite reading until 5pm daily, with remote wet reads available after hours. We have in-depth processes and standing orders in place for imaging staff to follow positive breast cancer and lung cancer findings through to treatment and follow-up.
Our entire multi-specialty clinic is collegial and friendly. Our entire partnership gathers for a catered lunch meeting three times a month with individual departments meeting once monthly.
Our IM providers have a good amount of control of their schedules, from start and end times to limiting the quantity of certain types of appointments daily and when or whether they want to do telehealth visits. Each provider has a primary assistant and is supported by float nursing staff and administrative assistants. Each provider has their own office and three exam rooms, with access to a shared procedure room.
