Duties
- One position is for heavy line work such engine and transmission replacement and timing chains.
- The second position will do repairs on suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, steering components, and alignments.
- Must own a good supply of hand tools and power tools to efficiently do repairs or replacements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle makes and models; familiarity with GM vehicles is a plus.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, oil change procedures, wheel alignment techniques, suspension repair, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, and maintenance routines.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Little contact with customers but good focus on clear communication and professionalism during interactions with clients and coworkers.
