Job Summary
The Senior Plumbing Engineer will provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of plumbing systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
- Design plumbing systems including medical/laboratory piping and gases
- Design performance specification fire protection systems
- Develop systems design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
- Prepare detailed design documents
- Write/edit project specifications
- Be responsible for code compliance research
- Coordinate work with other disciplines
- Work on site surveys to determine and document existing conditions
- Provide construction administration services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 15 years design experience
- PE is required
- Experience in Fire Protection
- Experience with laboratories/medical facilities design is preferred
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
