The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.

The expected base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $135,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in a variety of market sectors, such as healthcare, academic, industrial, and commercial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the electrical systems design of a given project based on scope of work and/or client requirements
- Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems
- Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems
- Write/edit project specifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years design experience
- LEED certification/experience is a plus
- Experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education and commercial buildings
- Educational projects design is preferred
- Knowledge of electrical calculations including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
- Excellent work ethic and attitude
- Good communication and time management skills
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
