Quality Clerk

Essential Functions:

• Performing physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
• Gathering data on quality issues, analyzing results, and identifying trends.
• Maintaining records of inspections, tests and findings, and reporting any deviations from quality standards.
• Support the Quality Management System through Document Control activities to maintain all the documents updated.
• Suggesting and implementing improvements to production processes to enhance quality and reduce defects.
• Ensuring that testing equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
• Participating in training new employees on quality procedures and standards
• Be able to support under emergencies with chemical analysis as a needed basis. This can be on weekends and/or holidays
• Build relationships with hourly and salary teammates to maintain open communication with production to keep updated on any issues affecting production or customers.
• Share information throughout the facility pertaining to customer feedback and interaction in an effort to continually improve the internal system and eliminate customer concerns.
• Act as a resource to the quality and production department on quality specifications, quality testing, methods, etc.
• Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
• Other duties as assigned by manager
