Responsibilities
Full Care of Resort Horses:
- Grooming, bathing, exercising, and providing basic first aid.
- Tack care and cleaning.
- Performing stable chores, including stall cleaning and watering.
- Maintaining facility upkeep.
- Provide excellent customer service to guests.
- Teach riding lessons to a variety of skill levels, ages, and disciplines.
- Guide group and private trail rides on resort property.
- Facilitate pony rides and other children’s programs.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and practice safe habits.
- Operate a small utility terrain vehicle (UTV).
- Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed.
- Attend hospitality and luxury standards training classes
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Minimum of five years of experience working and riding in a professional setting.
- Experience teaching riding lessons to beginners and intermediate riders.
- Customer service experience.
- Knowledge of classical riding and high-quality horsemanship standards, or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Capability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
