What are the responsibilities and job description for the House Person- Housekeeping position at Salamander Hospitality?
The Houseperson will support and service the room attendants and maintain cleanliness throughout the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning: Perform cleaning tasks using standard hotel products to adhere to health standards.
- Stocking: Maintain linen closets to meet minimum par levels.
- Waste Management: Remove trash and dirty linen from cleaning carts and linen rooms.
- Cleanliness Maintenance: Monitor and clean trash from rooms as needed, moving items to designated pickup points.
- Supply Management: Replace vacuum bags and assist in restocking linen carts.
- Inventory Monitoring: Track consumption and order replacements for guest and cleaning supplies.
- Furniture Movement: Move furniture, supplies, and equipment as directed by the housekeeping supervisor.
- Special Requests: Handle unexpected spills and execute special guest requests as needed.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
- Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment and manage interruptions.
Work Environment:
- Must communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and adapt to changing tasks.
