What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier position at Salad House?
The Cashier role requires an individual to be comfortable in a fast paced restaurant environment and
exhibit high energy that performs well under pressure. A POS Station representative needs to be reliable
and able to handle stress while maintaining a calm and friendly attitude towards both the customers and
their team members. Working with the rest of the team, the POS Station rep must be able to
communicate the needs and details of an order with the rest of the crew to ensure orders are presented
accurately and efficiently throughout the day.
Responsibilities: But not limited to.
● Greet customers and guide them through the customer experience.
● Take customer orders and key them into our POS system. (by phone or in person)
● Process payment for orders placed. (cash/credit cards)
● Package orders once ready for pick up, delivery, or take-out.
● Restock workstation with supplies and ensure the area is kept clean and organized always.
● Navigate customers through information on daily specials, discounts, or loyalty programs.
● Address customer requests and/or complaints properly and if need be, escalate to the attention
of the appropriate Shift Lead or Manager.
● Properly fill and rotate dressings.
● Fill and stock beverage fridge & merchandise counter.
● Dress per company policy and monitor that team is also in uniform.
● Along with the rest of the front of house team, maintain cleanliness of the dining areas and
restrooms before and after meal periods.
Requirements: But not limited to.
● Capable of standing during the majority of shifts.
● Have the ability to lift 30 lbs.
● Comfortable to perform duties as Cashier with minimal supervision and guidance on a daily
basis.
● Have a great understanding of the menu and allergens.
● Address in house and over the phone customer questions.
● Assist in customer retention process when customer complaints arise and know when to
escalate a situation to an appropriate lead.
● Familiarity with POS register systems.
● Basic communication skills
