This is a unique opportunity to join SALACT, LLC, a pre-seed stage company, and shape its product, technology,

and culture from the ground up. The journey is divided into two distinct phases: the current Pre-Seed Stage, where you will act as a strategic partner in securing our initial funding, and the Seed Stage, where you will transition into a full-time, salaried leadership role to execute our shared vision.

The Head of Engineering will be responsible for several key areas, including vetting and finalizing the proposed technology stack and architectural decisions. They will also develop the detailed, quarter-by-quarter internal engineering roadmap for the foundational app MVP. Finally, they will contribute to the technical descriptions and claims within the provisional patent application.

• Compensation: $140,000 - $210,000 Annually Significant Founding Team Equity

Job Description

As a Founding Member and the Head of Engineering, you will be the primary architect of SALACT's technology vision. You will lead the development of our entire suite of applications, from our core consumer products to our revolutionary AI interaction engine. This is a hands-on-keyboard role in the beginning, evolving into a leadership position as you build and manage a world-class engineering team. You will be a key strategic partner to the CEO and Head of Product.

• Define and execute the overall technology roadmap, making critical decisions on architecture, infrastructure, and security.

• Lead the hands-on development of the initial versions of our core consumer applications.

• Spearhead the long-term R&D and development of our proprietary AI interaction engine.

• Build, mentor, and manage the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

• Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of all technical systems to support millions of users.

Experience

• Minimum: 10 years in software development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or architectural role. Proven experience building and scaling consumer-facing mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications.

• Desired Qualifications:

o Previous experience as a founder or early-stage employee at a venture-backed startup.

o Experience building data-intensive social platforms or applications with a heavy user-generated content component.

o Professional or academic experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP), conversational AI, or building AI/ML pipelines.

o Experience with multi-modal data processing (audio, video, and image analysis).

Education

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical

field.

• Desired: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Deep expertise in modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and database systems

(SQL/NoSQL).

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations.
