Duties
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment according to detailed schematics and blueprints
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly processes
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to verify component dimensions and quality standards
- Operate machinery including machining tools and welding equipment to fabricate or modify parts as needed
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure assemblies meet specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with inventory management in the warehouse, including handling materials with forklift operation when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and machining equipment is a strong asset
- Ability to operate precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately
- Warehouse experience including forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of quality and safety in a production setting
