DESCRIPTION
Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships and Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Family and Community Services and the Quad Cities areas leading provider of early childhood care and education, is seeking a Driver and Transporter. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
As Driver/Transporter on our team, you will do things like:
- Transport and/or coordinate transport all delivery of materials, supplies and equipment for the Early Head Start Child Care Partnership and SAL Community Services as a whole to child care sites, in-home child care sites, homes of families, and area partners.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager Procurement & Vendors, other SAL Community Services managers, families, and partner childcare sites as necessary to resolve any issues with deliveries.
- Work with Senior Manager Procurement & Vendors to handle miscellaneous matters such as gutter maintenance, minor landscaping, minor cleaning of exterior building shell, and organizing.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and hazard-free vehicle.
- Ensure all vehicle paperwork is accessible and current such as registration, insurance, and accident protocol.
- Present self as a professional and promote positive relations with children, staff, families and community.
- Perform all documentation and reporting requirements as set forth by Early Head Start and organizational expectations.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience
Required: High School diploma or equivalent. At least one year driving a multi-passenger van is required. Experience in minor building maintenance. Preferred: Job related Associate degree. At least one year in an early childhood education, school, or summer camp setting.
