Sakura Tokyo is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Restaurant Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide welcoming service, accurately process orders and payments, assist guests with menu questions, and support smooth front-of-house restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Operate the POS system and process cash, card, and other payments.
- Handle transactions and provide accurate change when required.
- Answer guests' questions about menu items, ingredients, and available options.
- Enter orders accurately and communicate special requests to the appropriate team members.
- Assist with takeout and pickup orders as needed.
- Check orders for accuracy before handing them to guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and service area.
- Restock menus, packaging, condiments, utensils, and other front-of-house supplies.
- Follow restaurant, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist team members during busy service periods.
- Handle guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily restaurant duties.
- Perform other responsibilities assigned by restaurant management.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, cashier, retail, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required.
