Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a cheerful attitude and guide them to their tables promptly.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems, including booking, confirming, and adjusting reservations to optimize seating arrangements.
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with the dining team to ensure smooth table turnover and accurate seating assignments using restaurant table management systems.
• Maintain a tidy and organized host stand area, ensuring all reservation logs and waitlists are up-to-date.
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations, ensuring their needs are met with hospitality and guest relations expertise.
• Support food safety practices by adhering to cleanliness standards in the host area and handling guest information confidentially.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred.
• Strong background in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize customer service excellence.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on clear phone communication and guest interactions.
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling seating calculations and reservation adjustments accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus.
