Duties
- Greet and welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Serve food and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction.
- Monitor guest needs throughout their dining experience, providing attentive service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tips.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are upheld.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and restaurant policies.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively.
- Experience with Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Culinary experience in food preparation or fine dining settings is an advantage.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Sales skills with an emphasis on upselling menu items effectively.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Previous experience in the food industry, including restaurant or nightclub settings.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
