Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong culinary knowledge and food industry experience, especially in fine dining environments
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Skilled in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities without pressuring guests
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with restaurant operations such as cashiering, guest relations, bussing, and host/hostess duties
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and check splitting
- Previous nightclub or hospitality experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for the food service industry is essential
