Job Description
The Assistant Operations Manager, Ready-to-Wear is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Fine Apparel and Designer Sportswear product, including accessories and jewelry for our luxury assortment. This role partners with the Selling Managers and the buying organization to ensure that all store operational functions are executed with the highest level of excellence and compliance. The
Assistant Operations Manager, Ready-to-Wear reports to the Operations Manager, RTW Support – and will work closely with the rest of the operations teams who oversee other product categories and specialty brands.
Job Duties
Oversee, plan and execute the daily operations for the (4) floors of Women’s apparel and related accessories as decided by the Operations Manager - communicates daily operational objectives to the team to create an efficient workflow.
Works alongside the Operations Manager to support the execution of the annual financial inventory process within their areas; continued vigilance between counts to identify and reconcile discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy.
Prioritize and work on various store projects, inclusive of but not limited to, assistance with trunk show set-up, large-scale seasonal markdowns, stockroom reorganization to meet business needs.
Works with the Buying Organization to perform necessary product movements required to support the health of the business (stock transfers to support online sales, Return to Vendor and Mark out of Stock execution).
Collaborate with Vendor Representatives and Business Managers to support day-to-day business, initiatives, and product launches.
Attend meetings with Support and Selling Managers to build cross functional partnerships.
Responsible for the maintenance of both selling floor and back of house standards.
Assist Operations Manager with the training and development of support associates to build a cohesive customer service driven team.
Instill operational excellence and accountability within the members of their team.
Job Requirements
Experience in Operations Management, preferably in retail.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and support multiple functions within the department.
Ability to self-manage projects and timelines.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic and desire to work within a large team.
