Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a welcoming attitude.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper POS procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with food preparation, food handling, and basic kitchen tasks when needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering positive guest relations.
- Support host/host duties such as managing reservations through OpenTable or similar systems, seating guests efficiently, and managing waitlists during busy hours.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service flow in a fast-paced environment like a nightclub or fine dining setting.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a high-volume setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in upselling menu items and enhancing guest experiences through sales techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and transaction accuracy are essential.
