Responsibilities:
- Originate and check basic structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, material requisitions.
- Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials.
- Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
- Liaise with professional staff such as engineers and project managers.
- Monitor and inspect all work undertaken to ensure structural soundness.
- Perform analysis and design applying standard engineering methods and techniques in the performance of preliminary and final design including stress and stability analysis, structural steel design, steel connection design, reinforced concrete design and development of detailing for steel and concrete features.
- During construction phases, provide support to the Construction Engineering staff by coordinating the review of transmittals and RFI's and assisting with the resolution of construction issues.
- Select appropriate structural systems for project requirements.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFI's and perform field observations.
- Interface effectively with clients and construction team.
Qualifications:
- BS in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- PE License preferred
- Minimum 2 Years of Experience in Structural Design of steel and concrete structures.
