Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including those requiring commercial driving skills.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Manage the delivery schedule effectively to maximize productivity and minimize delays.
Skills
- Proficient in driving various types of vehicles, including manual transmission vehicles.
- Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift safely.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience in courier services or moving logistics is a plus.
- Capable of lifting heavy items and performing physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
