- Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
* Contribute to didactic teaching, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned (12 credits per Fall and Spring semesters)
* Provide constructive and accurate academic advising to nursing students.
* Demonstrates service within the program, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and University committees- Qualifications
Education, Qualifications & Experience
* An earned doctorate in nursing or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
* Masters of Science in Nursing required
* Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Illinois
* Certification in area of Psychiatric specialty preferred.
* Evidence of excellent teaching ability or potential. Online experience preferred.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Enthusiasm toward serving a diverse student population

* Permission to work in the United States
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in advanced functions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook Office.
* Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to write reports and correspondence and to speak effectively to various constituencies.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information and to handle sensitive matters with judgement, tact, and diplomacy.
* Attention to detail and ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and prioritize.
