Reports to: Director of Financial Aid
Supervises: N/A
Primary function: The Financial Aid Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Financial Aid Office and is responsible for processing financial aid for designated programs, including federal and state aid, tuition waivers, verifications, and student withdrawals.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (desired)
Experience: Experience in a college or university and a basic understanding of student financial aid.
Required Qualifications: Experience with federal and state financial aid programs and student information systems (e.g., Ellucian Colleague) preferred.

Essential Duties
- Process financial aid for designated programs, including federal and state aid, tuition waivers, verifications, and withdrawals, based on office needs.
- Support the Director of Financial Aid with departmental functions as needed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, exercising sound professional judgment and managing multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.
- Represent the Financial Aid Office by participating in and presenting at Admissions events.
- Manage special projects alongside regular responsibilities, ensuring timely completion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the goals and operations of the Financial Aid Office.
- All duties require strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information from students and families.
- Operate closely with the Admission Office, Student Accounts Office, Registrar, and other offices in the SVC community.
- Primarily office-based, with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
- Occasional travel required for training, conferences, or orientation events.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods.
