About Our Pediatric Cardiac Center
As a state-designated acute care children's hospital, our dedicated team of board-certified pediatric cardiologists, cardiac nurse practitioners, and cardiac technologists provides comprehensive cardiovascular services for neonates, children, and young adults with congenital and acquired heart disease, arrhythmias, and electrical disorders.
We treat: Congenital heart defects, heart murmurs, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, rheumatic fever, Kawasaki disease, cardiomyopathies, and valvular disorders. Our Pediatric Cardiac Center provides consultative services throughout the hospital, including our renowned Level IV NICU, PICU, and Pediatric Emergency Department. We coordinate advanced cardiology and cardiothoracic surgical services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired heart diseases in patients from neonatal period through young adulthood
• Perform and interpret echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, and fetal echocardiograms
• Coordinate diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations as appropriate
• Provide inpatient consultations across NICU, PICU, medical/surgical units, and Emergency Department
• Manage outpatient cardiology clinic for chronic cardiac conditions
• Coordinate care with pediatric cardiac surgeons and subspecialists
• Participate in fetal cardiology program with prenatal consultations
• Counsel families about diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiac team
• Lead the Pediatric Cardiology Team and expand practice

Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
- Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology
- Minimum of 7-10 years post-fellowship clinical experience, with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Eligible/Active MD license in New Jersey
- Federal DEA registration
- Maintain competency by participating in relevant continuing education programs and certification maintenance programs
- Demonstrated record of excellence in clinical care, program development, and leadership
Full-time clinical base compensation at Saint Peter’s Healthcare System ranges from $175,000 - $750,000, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
