What are the responsibilities and job description for the Women's Ambulatory Care Medical Assistant position at Saint Peter's Healthcare System?
- Assist with the ambulatory patient's arrival during a patient session.
- Monitor basic physiological parameters.
- Provide direct patient care in accordance with the procedures of the various patient sessions and as appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
- Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of blood specimen procurement within scope of practice.
- Administer vaccines in accordance with established guidelines.
- Demonstrate competency in performing all procedures within scope of practice and requirements of position as appropriate to the age of the patients, their growth and development.
- Telephone and Appointment scheduling.
- Be knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
- Be responsible for maintaining exam rooms, utility rooms, and supply carts in a clean and orderly condition and ascertaining that all are supplied appropriately and that equipment is maintained.
